Description
Brigham City physician Otto Smith served in the Army Air Corps (later called the Air Force) during World War II. He was pilot on a carrier plane, transporting troops and equipment to and from airbases in countries of eastern Africa and countries along the European coast. For instance, he sometimes delivered military supplies to the front and returned with litters of wounded servicemen. He also dropped paratroopers into combat areas.
