Description
Les Dunn was in the Army Air Force during WWII and had taken extensive training to be a pilot when the War Department sent word that the military had enough pilots and training would cease. After learning that 6 of his high school friends had been killed, he wanted desperately to get into the fighting and avenge their deaths. He took the training necessary to be a ball turret gunner and war ready to go into combat when the war ended. It was a bitter disappointment to him not to have been in the fighting.
